First Service Credit Union is a federally insured, member-owned financial cooperative serving the Greater Houston area and surrounding Texas counties. Founded in 1977 by Brown & Root employees, it now serves over 60,000 members. The credit union offers checking, savings, loans, mortgages, and investment services with a focus on returning profits to members through competitive rates and low fees.

Membership Restrictions

Membership is open to individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in Harris, Waller, Montgomery, Galveston, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Chambers, Liberty, Matagorda, Austin, Grimes, San Jacinto, Walker, Wharton counties, or Conroe ISD and Magnolia ISD. Family members of existing members are also eligible. Employees of select companies including KBR, Halliburton, CenterPoint Energy, Baker Hughes, NRG, and Kinder Morgan may join. Additionally, anyone making a donation to the You First Foundation can become a member. A minimum deposit of $1 to a primary savings account is required to join.
