Telhio Credit Union is a state-chartered, not-for-profit financial cooperative headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, founded in 1934 as a credit union for Columbus Telephone Company employees. As of 2024, it serves approximately 68,000 members with over $1.4 billion in assets across 12 branch locations in Central and Southwestern Ohio. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA and offers personal and business banking services including savings accounts, checking accounts, loans, and certificates of deposit.

Membership Restrictions

Telhio is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Central and Southwest Ohio, primarily serving 18 Ohio counties including Franklin, Hamilton, Butler, Delaware, Fairfield, Licking, Marion, Pickaway, Union, Warren, Preble, Clark, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Morrow, and Richland. All Ohio residents are also eligible for membership by joining the American Consumer Council (ACC). Membership is established by opening a Share Savings Account with a minimum $5 deposit. Employees of certain organizations such as Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and the Ohio State Medical Association also qualify for membership.
