Latino Community Credit Union (LCCU) is a federally-insured, member-owned credit union headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, established in 2000. It is a community development financial institution serving over 220,000 members from 137 countries with more than $1.2 billion in assets and 15 branches across North Carolina. LCCU provides bilingual (Spanish and English) financial services and has made $2.3 billion in loans since its founding.

Membership Restrictions

To join LCCU, individuals must first become a member of the Latino Community Development Center (LCDC) with a one-time $8 membership fee. Applicants must reside in the United States, possess a valid Social Security Number or ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number), and have a valid government-issued photo ID. While the credit union was founded to serve the Latino community, it welcomes members from diverse backgrounds at all points along the financial continuum.
