TruStone Financial Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota, serving over 215,900 members across central Minnesota and eastern Wisconsin. Founded in 1939 as the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers Credit Union, it merged with Firefly Credit Union in 2020 to become Minnesota’s second-largest credit union. The institution is federally insured by NCUA and operates 23 branches with $5.2 billion in assets.

Membership Restrictions

Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in eligible Minnesota counties (Anoka, Carver, Chippewa, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Le Sueur, McLeod, Meeker, Nicollet, Ramsey, Redwood, Renville, Rice, Scott, Sherburne, Sibley, Stearns, Wabasha, Washington, Wright, or Yellow Medicine) or Wisconsin counties (Kenosha, Pierce, St. Croix, Racine, or Milwaukee). Employees and retirees of designated employer groups and members of specific education communities (including St. Cloud State University and St. Cloud Technical & Community College) are also eligible. Immediate family members of existing members may join. A $5.00 savings deposit establishes membership.
