Selfreliance Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative headquartered in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village, serving nearly 49,000 members across Illinois, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, and New Jersey with over $1 billion in assets. Founded in 1951 by Ukrainian immigrants, it has grown through multiple mergers and operates 15 branch offices as of February 2026. The credit union is regulated by the NCUA and provides affordable loans, savings products, and community support focused on the Ukrainian-American community.
