Description

UMassFive College Federal Credit Union is a non-profit financial cooperative headquartered in Hadley, Massachusetts, serving Western Massachusetts and the UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester. Founded in 1967 by University of Massachusetts employees, it has expanded to serve over 50 local organizations and operates six branches across the Pioneer Valley and Worcester County. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA and member-owned, returning earnings to members rather than shareholders.

Membership Restrictions

Membership is open to employees, students, and family members of the University of Massachusetts system and the Five College Consortium (Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, and Smith College). The credit union also serves over 50 local educational and service organizations. Family members (siblings, parents, children, spouses) and household members of existing members qualify for membership. Additionally, anyone can join by becoming a member of CISA (Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture), for which the credit union covers the membership fee.
