Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (NDFCU) was founded in 1941 in Notre Dame, Indiana, and operates branches across Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Arizona. It is the thirteenth largest credit union in Indiana and serves as a not-for-profit cooperative that reinvests profits in members and communities. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA.

Membership Restrictions

Membership is open to employees and members of over 1,000 affiliated organizations, including the University of Notre Dame, St. Mary's College, City of South Bend employees, and various Catholic and Protestant churches. Students of other colleges and members of local parishes are also eligible. Additionally, anyone can join by opening a checking account with a minimum $100 monthly direct deposit and debit card, or by opening a credit card, HELOC, auto loan, or mortgage. A $5 deposit into a Share Savings account establishes membership, and immediate family members of eligible members become eligible upon the member's joining.
