Southern Energy Credit Union is a not-for-profit, full-service financial institution founded in 1953 (originally as APCO Employees Credit Union) and rebranded in 2025. It serves over 90,000 members across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi through 28 branches and digital banking platforms. The credit union is the second largest in Alabama and the largest state-chartered credit union in the state, with more than $3 billion in assets.
