La Capitol Federal Credit Union, founded in 1961, is one of Louisiana’s largest credit unions with headquarters in Baton Rouge. Originally established to serve State Department of Commerce and Industry employees from a basement office in the state capitol building, it has grown to operate 15 branches across Louisiana serving more than 54,000 members.
