Description

Y-12 Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit credit union serving individuals and businesses in East Tennessee and surrounding regions. Founded in 1950 by employees at the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, it has grown to over 130,000 members with $2.7 billion in assets and 24 branches across East Tennessee and Southeast Kentucky. The institution is federally insured by the NCUA.

Membership Restrictions

Membership is available to employees and immediate family members of current Y-12 Credit Union members. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in eligible areas of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia may join. Individuals who do not qualify through other eligibility criteria can join the Y-12 FCU Gives Foundation, a nonprofit focused on ending childhood hunger, to become eligible for credit union membership.
