TwinStar Credit Union was established in 1938 in the Olympia, Washington area and serves over 119,000 members across Washington and Oregon with 20 branches. The credit union merged with Northwest Community Credit Union in September 2025 and rebranded as Peak Credit Union, though the TwinStar name and website remain active during a transition period. It is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative insured by the NCUA.

Membership Restrictions

Anyone living or working in Washington state may join. Residents and workers in the following Oregon counties are also eligible: Benton, Clackamas, Coos, Crook, Deschutes, Douglas, Jackson, Jefferson, Josephine, Klamath, Lane, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, or Washington. Immediate family members (spouse, child, stepchild, parent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, half-sibling, aunt, uncle, or domestic partner) of existing TwinStar or Northwest Community Credit Union members may also join. Membership requires a $5 deposit and a government-issued ID and Social Security number.
