Founded in 1956 as Lane Federal Credit Union, it converted to a community charter in 2016, expanding its membership field. Membership Restrictions

Membership is open to residents of OCCU's 70-county membership area in Oregon and Washington. Immediate family members of existing OCCU members or those living in the membership area are eligible. Students and employees of the University of Oregon, members of the UO Alumni Association, employees of Bi-Mart, and employees of the State of Oregon may also join. Membership requires a $5 share deposit.
