MAX Credit Union is a state-chartered credit union based in Montgomery, Alabama, serving central and east Alabama and west Georgia with 18 branch locations. Originally founded in 1955 as Maxwell Federal Credit Union for Air Force personnel, it received a community charter in 1998 and became state-chartered in 2007, allowing broader membership. As of January 2021, MAX had $1.77 billion in assets and over 116,000 member owners, making it the 5th largest credit union in Alabama.
