First Heritage Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution originally chartered in 1954 as Ingersoll-Rand Employees Federal Credit Union, now operating as a community-chartered credit union. It serves over 50,000 members across 11 counties in New York and Pennsylvania, including Chemung, Steuben, and Tioga counties in New York, and Bradford, Lycoming, and Potter counties in Pennsylvania. The credit union has grown through multiple mergers and expanded its field of membership to serve the broader community since becoming community-chartered in December 2001.
