Originally chartered in 1940 as IUMSWA Federal Credit Union to serve shipbuilding employees, it has expanded through mergers and charter changes to serve a diverse membership base across multiple counties. Membership Restrictions

Membership is available through multiple pathways: (1) family relationships to current members, including spouses, children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, siblings, and household members; (2) employees and retirees of over 700 Select Employer Groups (SEGs); (3) residents, workers, students, or those who worship or regularly conduct business in eligible New Jersey communities including Atlantic City, Bridgeton, Camden, Millville, Pleasantville, Salem, Vineland, and others; and (4) members of the New Jersey Consumer Council association. Once membership is established with a $5 minimum deposit, members and their families may remain members for life regardless of where they later live or work.
