Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union (BVSCU) is a not-for-profit financial cooperative headquartered in Katy, Texas, serving a 13-county region in south-central Texas. Established in 1954 and federally insured by NCUA, it operates 13 locations and serves over 64,000 members with savings accounts, loans, mortgages, credit cards, and financial counseling services.

Membership Restrictions

Membership is open to public and private school employees in 13 counties (Austin, Bastrop, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Fort Bend, Lavaca, Lee, Milam, Waller, and Washington). Eligible members also include employees and students of colleges and universities in the field of membership, city and county employees in portions of the same counties, and persons who live, worship, work, or attend school within specific school district boundaries. Retired school employees who relocate to the credit union's service area are eligible. Family members of current BVSCU members are automatically eligible to join.
