AMOCO Federal Credit Union (AMOCO FCU) is a member-owned financial cooperative chartered in 1937, originally serving employees of Pan American Refining Corporation and later Amoco Oil in Texas City. With over $1.4 billion in assets and approximately 97,000 members, it is one of the largest credit unions in the Houston/Galveston area. The credit union now serves a broad geographic footprint across 477 census tracts in Texas, from Liberty to Mission Bend and High Island Beach.

Membership Restrictions

AMOCO membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, or frequently does business within one of 477 census tracts in Texas. Additionally, employees and immediate family members of more than 560 select partner companies, organizations, and associations are eligible. Membership requires opening a basic savings account with a minimum $1 deposit. The credit union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration.
